I Booked The House From Field Of Dreams For The Night: A Five Star Review

What it’s like to spend the night at Field of Dreams in Iowa

I didn’t even know you could rent the house from ‘Field of Dreams.’

But when my son’s baseball team entered a tournament in nearby Dubuque, Iowa, I booked it for the night.

The house sleeps eight, so I invited my Mom and Dad to stay with us too.

The house includes unlimited VIP access to ‘The Field,’ so I invited our team out for batting practice and pizza.

Ultimately, I had the surreal pleasure of walking in Ray Kinsella’s shoes for a night. It was the Covid year, I was turning 40, and I’m a lifelong White Sox fan.

If you’re wondering, unless you win the MLB sweepstakes, the house costs about $500. But I bought in long ago, so it was well worth it.

This is the story of the night we rented the house at ‘Field of Dreams.’

We drove out to the field after our last tournament game of the day in Dubuque.

Under a rainbow-sherbet sunset, I pitched batting practice to the team, and anyone else who wanted…
