My favorite one to recommend friends and my kids' friends that I got from the Humane Tech website is how to put your phone on greyscale (it isn't permanent, rather you set it up in settings as a "triple-click" so you can toggle back to color when needed.)

Sure, these small recommendations for "how to fight the attention economy" feel like band aids on a gunshot wound. On the other hand, isn't each individual's awareness and attention span the exact battleground at hand?

Put another way (like GI Joe taught us on Saturday mornings in the 1980's) knowing is half the battle!!
